It was that one on one relationship that we established from the very beginning.

And I've done a lot of business that way where I get a good sense of his ethics by talking to him. I looked at his sample work and I just had a good feeling about him.

One of the best things was when we had some issues that needed to be revised, Toby jumped right in there. After the sale, after money has exchanged hands. That means everything in the world; when a man will stand behind his product or his service.

I have a good feeling about working with you. Obviously we're on our second book with you. This is a definite match. What I would say is if you are looking for a good illustrator, that stands behind his work, this is the place to be.

The illustrations are really an asset for our owner's manuals because they are intensely talented but at the same time Toby makes them really simple for our clients to understand the pictures because it is an instruction book after all. What I like is the combination of the clarity and the talent at the same time.

The site was phenomenal. It is actually the first time I looked at it. I was impressed with all the different samples that Toby has on there. We use him for a limited basis, for just the illustrations for our owner's manuals because that's all we need but there was so much on there from graphic design to personal drawings and photography. It was cool.

We love working with you. You've always been great, friendly and professional. Anything you need, hire Toby.

Toby after speaking with you that was my main deciding factor why I chose you. But the very first one was your website. The detail on the website, the way the website read and just going through what you have done for others.

Two things. One is yourself again Toby and the rest of the people that work with you. I find it very easy. I don't have any stress with it. I think we're on the same page when we talk and when you do things. And then the other thing is your work. Your work speaks for itself. Everything that I send you, you send back to me and it is better than I could ever have imagined.

I just think that speaking with you Toby, I think that you are your best asset. And I just think that being able to work with someone and being able to know that you can trust that person and that you're going to get what you are paying for.

I went to the internet and typed in a few words that I thought would help me find some graphics for some seminar materials that I use and I looked at two or three and then I came across this website. It was the most interesting and the easiest to use. I never looked at another website. I'm just glad I found you early.

Well there are two things that stand out way above everything else. One is somebody had to take words and create something that when you looked at it you would be surprised, you would feel intrigued, you would be super intersted to know what was going to happen next. And somehow, just sending you words and descriptions and some adjectives, out of your head or somewhere you created a graphic that I could use. The second thing is, it was quick. You always responded within a day and made every adjustment that I ever suggested. To me those two things, to be able to be unique and quick and I guess if I had to add a third I think the pricing of the services and the hours and the time that you gave me was so fair. I would never ask or try to go to anybody else.

When a person isn't sure of what it is they want. If they knew that on the other end someone was as versatile and as interested and as involved as you are personally, it would change the uneasiness, change the fearfactor - like what in the world am I getting into. So, my best advice is always give this website, give you a chance. And since there was never an obligation, I never felt pinned in the corner. And was just surprised at how quickly you were able to zero in on what I wanted.

It's amazing how quickly and how personally you can have any of your needs met. At least from my point of view, I've been trying for thirty years to get good graphics to go with things that I do in seminars. So I would say to anybody, give Toby a chance.

Vector Technical Illustrator Toby MikleFreelance Technical Illustration Artist

Hello, my name is Toby Mikle Google Plus Page and I have been a freelance technical illustrator for the past 16 years for both large and small clients. I started out at a production company and branched out. I have freelanced on location for Eaton Hydroponics and Medtronic.

While most people find this type of work boring I really enjoy creating high quality detailed and stunning vector technical illustrations. I am detail orientated and love to look at and share my artwork with my design friends.

When I first started my company 16 years ago I bid on a project for Memorex. My radio illustration was accepted among several applications and I was hired to create all of their technical manual illustrations. I am always looking for new ways to improve my technical illustrations so that they are as fictional to the end user as they are beautiful.

Some of my favorite projects have taken me days to complete. The large campus illustration, the capitol in Washington D.C. a paper mill and an oil refinery are among my favorite vector illustrations. I have printed and framed them in my home.

Most of my work is from photographs. I place the photograph in Adobe Illustrator and draw over it making any changes that the clients have to the illustration. Once illustrated colors and elements can be changed and since it is vector (resolution independent) it can be printed at any size. Vector artwork is clean, consistent, versatile and professional. The higher the resolution, the better the technical illustration.

The most important thing to remember when illustrating technical illustrations is the end user. In most cases you are trying to communicate a procedure or process to the customer. As a technical Illustrator I know that too much detail can be overwhelming. It is important to use just as much detail that can orientate the user to the product and then to focus on the element being discussed. This can be accomplished by eliminating some elements, careful use of perspective, varying line widths (thicker near the point of attention) and by breaking lines before the pass behind something to clearly communicate product orientation.
